In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, a player has discovered how to avoid certain death from Nomad’s annoying attack dog.
In the traditional multiplayer of Black Ops 4, specialist Nomad can unleash a attack dog on his opponents using his special ability. Alongside the already nerfed specialist Zero, this special ability is one of the most annoying in the entire game. Because if the dog gets to you, it essentially means certain death.
What happened? A Reddit user Mathishian29 seems to have found a way to trick this attack dog. He discovered the trick by accident. However, it apparently involves a flaw in the game mechanics.
How does the trick work? The trick is simple. You just need to perform an emote with your character before the dog reaches you. Mathishian29 simply sat on a box in the lab area of the Arsenal map using the sit gesture.
As Nomad’s attack dog came running around the corner. But instead of tearing the player apart, the dog jumped on him a few times, then turned away, howled, and went off in search of another victim. Mathishian29 was not harmed in the process.

This is likely a bug or glitch that prevents the player from taking damage from the dog as long as they are performing an emote. This was certainly not intended by the developers. So, it can be assumed that the error will be fixed soon.
What do the fans say? Most players take this bug humorously and make jokes about it. It is often said to be the coolest and most positive glitch in Black Ops 4, which would only work with premium emotes – but only until Zero can also hack emotes.
Many are also grateful for this information. The post is currently nearing almost 10,000 upvotes. Now at least for a short time, players have an effective countermeasure against the annoying dog, as numerous players say.
Some are also annoyed by the many bugs that Black Ops 4 is struggling with. Although this glitch is still one of the least harmful flaws, it currently almost completely undermines a special ability.
Even though Treyarch is working very hard to provide the game with updates and bug fixes, some players wish for stronger engagement in this area.
