What is the ARAV? The ARAV provides the Blackout mode of Black Ops 4 with another vehicle. The ARAV is an “Infantry Fighting Vehicle,” a light armored vehicle with a machine gun on a turret mount.

What can the ARAV do? The new vehicle is slightly slower than the ATV, which has been the fastest vehicle in the game so far. It also ranks second behind the truck in terms of durability.
Where can you find the ARAV? So far, the vehicle has been found in the following locations:
- Turbine
- Array
- River town
How many players can fit inside? The ARAV accommodates three players in the following positions:
- Driver: The driver controls the vehicle.
- Passenger: The passenger can stay safely inside the vehicle, shielded from shots. However, they can only use healing items inside. They can lean out and use weapons and items, but this exposes them.
- Gunner: Here you operate the machine gun on the turret mount on the roof of the vehicle. The machine gun is powerful and has unlimited ammunition. However, it is also quite inaccurate, especially when the ARAV is speeding through the terrain. If you shoot for too long, the machine gun overheats and eventually breaks down.

However, the ARAV is fast enough to drive into an advantageous position. Then, the gunner or passenger can disembark and finish off the opponent with their regular weapons.
