For Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 a new specialist has been teased. It looks like fan-favorite Spectre is returning as a specialist this month.
What does the teaser show? In the clip, which lasts less than a minute, Spectre is never shown in full. However, his well-known ability, the Ripper, is shown. Additionally, Spectre places C4 explosives and lights a smoke grenade.
When is Spectre coming? The teaser reveals that Spectre will enter the game later this month. On April 30, the specialist will be added to Black Ops 4.
What we know about Spectre in Black Ops 4
It has already been hinted: In mid-April, the developers accidentally gave the first hint of Spectre in Black Ops 4. They showed a smoke grenade. This grenade was described as allowing Spectre to see enemies inside of it. However, there was no mention of Spectre until that point.
What can we conclude from the teaser? Even though Spectre is never fully displayed, everything points to this specialist. Judging by the teaser, he will retain his Ripper ability.
As Ripper, Spectre could quickly and silently eliminate his opponents using a sword. He will also be able to throw smoke grenades again. In this smoke, Spectre will be able to see his enemies while they only have thick smoke in front of them.
That’s why his abilities are so sought after: Especially his weapons, explosives, and smoke grenades make Spectre so desirable. Smoke has long been requested by players, especially professionals, as it was usually a staple in the competitive mode of Call of Duty.
That’s why Spectre is known: This specialist is still known from Black Ops 3. There, Spectre was one of the most popular specialists. Now the fan-favorite is returning in the current installment of Call of Duty.
A popular game mode also returned to Black Ops 4:
