In the fantasy MMORPG Black Desert , work on a port for PS4 and Xbox One seems to be progressing.
It would be quite something if such a complex and visually stunning MMORPG like Black Desert were to come to the PS4 and Xbox One. And it certainly looks like it could happen.
Black Desert is planning an open beta for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. They intend to release the game there. At the Taipei Game Show, two of the leading figures from Pearl Abyss commented on the game, and there were some details that we didn’t know about before.
In an exclusive interview at the Taipei Game Show, the producer and game director reportedly said that work on Black Desert for PS4 and Xbox One is progressing. However, they have not yet decided whether the console version will offer crossplay with the PC. Both versions are expected to deliver gameplay content “similar to the PC version.”
There is currently no more information available on the port for PS4 and Xbox One. Until now, Pearl Abyss has kept the option open to port Black Desert to consoles. However, we didn’t know that they were actually already working on it.
Remastered Version and Mobile Also Planned
Interesting for players of the current PC version: The graphics of Black Desert are set to be improved in collaboration with Silicon Studio. Pearl Abyss is considering releasing a “remaster” version. - Pearl Abyss has two offers for further games, but the main focus remains on Black Desert.
Furthermore, the Pearl Abyss executives discussed how the Taiwanese version differs from others. An open beta starts there on January 25. However, this is probably not as fascinating for western readers as the other information.
