The developers of Black Desert Online have announced their plans for the rest of 2017. The sandbox MMO is set to receive better balancing. In addition, skills that make your regular weapons attractive alternatives to the Awakening weapon will be added.

Black Desert Online aims to make regular weapons more interesting

A major planned change concerns the skill system of regular weapons. Until now, your ordinary war machines were often less interesting than the cool Awakening weapons you obtained in the endgame. But that is set to change soon.

Together with the Skill Fusion system “Rabam’s Enlightenment”, there will be additional new skills for regular weapons. For example, improved versions of known abilities. These new skills are expected to come starting at level 56 and will become even stronger at level 60.

Additionally, there are considerations to make certain skills accessible earlier. This way, you should be able to switch between the Awakening weapon and the regular equipment depending on the situation.

More fairness for the classes – Balancing updates are coming

Also good to know: The developers have identified some classes that are currently performing worse than other heroes. Therefore, balancing adjustments will be made in upcoming updates. The patches will not go out as a large block, but will be released gradually in the next updates.

Especially the following classes will be significantly buffed in the future:

• Musa
• Maehwa
• Kunoichi
• Ninja
• Valkyrie

In addition to the balancing patches, efforts will be made to improve the server stability in Black Desert Online and prepare further content innovations.
