The Korean MMORPG Black Desert will be released in German, but it will not be a Free2Play game.
This is a surprise: Black Desert will not be released in the West as a “Free2Play” game like in Korea, but it will be a “Buy2Play” title. This means: You have to buy it once, but there will be no subscription fees. The intention is to change Black Desert and its game systems accordingly.
Additionally, it has been announced that Black Desert will be released not only in English but also in German and French. This will involve extensive translation work: 2.5 million words need to be translated.
Alpha tests for Black Desert will start soon
As a fan site announced, alpha tests for the Western version of Black Desert will start soon.
Today, the official homepage of the Western version of Black Desert went live. There isn’t much to see on it yet – except for the trailer we embedded above.
