In Black Desert Online recently introduced the Mystic as the female version of the Martial-Arts fighter Striker. Now the developers have released a trailer and details about the story behind the wild martial artist.
Black Desert Online has a strict gender lock that assigns most classes to a specific gender. However, there are usually alternative versions that have the opposite gender and serve a similar role. For example, the Warrior and the Valkyrie or the Ninja and the Kunoichi.
Recently, the Martial-Arts fighter Striker was introduced, and its female counterpart – the Mystic – is not far behind.
Black Desert Online – Being a Blonde is Not Easy
Now there are first official details about the Mystic. For example, her origin is explained. She comes from a war-torn village in Calpheon. There, she was found by a wandering Kung-Fu master who took her to the east where she learned the martial art.
However, the people in the east envied her success and discriminated against her because of her blonde hair and blue eyes. Only when another blonde giant arrived did the Mystic feel safe and finally had a training partner. But then her friend suddenly disappeared, and the Mystic set off to look for him.
Black Desert Online – Mystic – Focus on Footwork
In addition to this cheesy backstory, there is a trailer video where you can see the Mystic’s moves. Unlike the Striker, she relies more on her legs and delivers powerful kicks.
Additionally, she can break through enemy lines with shoulder charges and stun them. Ideal for setting up devastating combos. Like the Striker, the Mystic can also use particularly strong combinations to maximize damage. Check out the trailer and convince yourself of the Mystic’s martial arts.
When we will be able to play the new heroine here in the West is still unclear. For now, players in Korea will get their chance first, but the Western release shouldn’t be too far away.
