The latest patch of Black Desert brings many new items to the shop and introduces new amenities for the players – and a major controversy.
No XP Loss for Players with Positive Karma
Black Desert received a new update on June 1, which has brought several innovations to the game. Especially the game’s shop has received numerous new additions, including many new furniture items, expansions for the various stables in the game world, and plenty of horse armor.
Crafters can rejoice that “Simple Cooking” and “Simple Alchemy” no longer consume energy (even if this is still reflected in the recipe costs).
The most important change of the patch primarily affects PvP fans. For those who have 0 karma or more on their account, they will no longer lose experience points when killed in PvP. This change does not apply to players with negative karma (specifically Gankers) – they still lose XP upon death. Many players see this as a major “gamebreaker” that would ruin the appeal of PvP and practically ensures that only “good” behavior in PvP is worthwhile – because who would want to play the villain when the freedom of the PvP system is taken away?
