At TwitchCon 2018, players had the opportunity to try out the new Archer class of the MMORPG Black Desert hands-on. Some players recorded the gameplay with their camera, allowing us to take a first look at the skills.
YouTuber Rinku Talks was able to try out the new Archer class at TwitchCon. The Archer has been eagerly awaited by many players for several years.
First Impression of the Archer
In the video, players can form an initial opinion on the Archer’s gameplay. The class comes with many different new abilities.
This is shown in the video:
- Players can get a first impression of the skills. The Archer seems to be very agile.
- In battles, the Archer relies on different weapons. His crossbow allows him to shoot arrows. With the magical glove, he can use additional abilities.
- A particular focus is placed on the ability Fury of Arrows. This ability knocks down opponents on hit. According to the ability description, the knockdown should only work on opponents in PvE. At TwitchCon, the ability also worked on other players.
Not all skills are testable: Unfortunately, visitors to TwitchCon could not try out all of the Archer’s abilities. Rinku Talks suspects that about half of the skills were unlocked.
There is still not much known about the awakening skills. The Archer will rely on a longbow for his strongest abilities.
Unfortunately, the Archer will not be part of the upcoming update Drieghan.
