Black Desert Online (PC) gets its own server just for PvP! There will be different combat rules, and there will be no more annoying CC spamming or “Karma Bombing”.
In the sandbox MMORPG Black Desert Online, there is already open PvP. Those who want to fight other players can do so with pleasure. However, open PvP had some serious issues, including constant CC spamming and the infamous Karma Bombing.
Karma Bombing is annoying and ruins PvP fun!
Karma Bombing refers to a nasty trick that sneaky players use to trick and harm other gamers in PvP. If you simply activate PvP and take out another player, you lose Karma – a resource earned in PvE.
If you run out of Karma, you will suffer penalties when you die. Of course, nobody wants that.
Therefore, some players force their enemies to attack them first and thus lose Karma. A popular trick is to position oneself at a popular grind spot and steal kills or annoy and troll in other ways. These individuals continue doing this until they are eventually beaten down by frustrated players, causing the “killer”‘s Karma to plummet.
A new PvP server aims to eliminate CC spam and Karma Bombing.
To make open PvP more enjoyable again, the developers want to offer a special server called “Arsha” on February 21. There will be special rules:
- All characters have stronger defensive abilities in PvP
- You will be immune to crowd control skills for a certain time after being hit by CC attacks three times
- There will be no more Karma loss in PvP. However, if you bring negative Karma from another server, you must first reduce it through PvE
- All PvE monsters except field and world bosses are available
The new PvP server is well received by many players. However, others fear it will become a miserable grind, as no one will be penalized with Karma loss for player kills anymore.
To make PvP even more exciting, there will soon be a global version of Black Desert Online.
