The Korean MMORPG Black Desert celebrates St. Patrick’s Day in the West with beer and green dye boxes.
This is called multi-culti. The genuinely Korean MMORPG Black Desert celebrates the Irish memorial day for Bishop Patrick in the Western version.
In Western popular culture, St. Patrick’s Day (on March 17th) is commonly known as: everything that can be dyed is dyed green; drink as much as possible and pretend to be Irish. Similar to Halloween, this was actually quite rare in Germany. However, it is gaining popularity in major cities. In the USA, people with Irish roots celebrate the day enthusiastically, also to emphasize their own identity as Irish. Many others like to join in.
In Black Desert, St. Patrick’s Day means: Through the “Loyalty Menu,” players can request a green dye box, 3 beers, and 2 green fireworks. This is available daily until March 21 at 10:00 AM.
Additionally, during this time, cheaper green dye packages can be purchased in the Pearl Store, and one dye package is practically given for 1 loyalty point. But only one per family.
