The second part of the Mediah update for Black Desert is live. We reveal to you what the patch has in store.
Plundering on the Kuit Islands
Since yesterday, May 4th, the latest patch for the western version of Black Desert Online is live. After maintenance the day before, players can now dive into new adventures.
The centerpiece of the “Mediah Part 2 Update” is the three new areas where players can complete many new quests and have adventures.
- On the Kuit Islands, one must challenge the local pirates to take back the plundered treasures. Because plundering from plunderers is much more heroic.
- In the Tungra Forest, many dangers lurk, and if one is not careful, “the landlubbers will finish off the players faster than scurvy.”
- Lastly, there is the Hasrah Dungeon, a dark cave where the remains of ancient golems have been found. Because remains are usually not great dangers, players will likely discover some surprises here.
Two Events until May 24
Additionally, the patch brought two new events with extra quest lines and rewards, both of which are active from May 4 to May 25.
As an introduction to the “pirate-themed” content, there is – as one would expect from true pirates – a Rum Search. Across the world, monsters can now leave behind rum bottles, which will then go into your inventory. Each bottle can either be consumed for a small buff or exchanged for rewards by NPC Shilly on the Kuit Islands. She has the following items on offer:
- 100 Rum – Pirate Flag (Home Decoration)
- 200 Rum – Pirate Eye Patch
- 300 Rum – Pirate Hat
For Mother’s Day, there is a special title “Motherlover” and a daily quest, where you must choose from one of two one-hour buffs as a reward. The “Heart Chocolate” improves many combat attributes, while the “Love Chocolate” gives bonuses to nearly all crafting-related attributes.
