Black Desert Online is coming soon to Valve’s distribution platform Steam. So if you like to manage all your games through one platform, you’ll be pleased.
More and more online role-playing games are celebrating new successes on Steam. For example, the not-so-fresh TERA has achieved new success on Valve’s distribution platform and still enjoys a large player base.
But soon the existing Steam MMOs will face stiff competition, as Black Desert Online is also coming to Steam.
Black Desert Online – Steam Release coming in May
On May 24, 2017, Black Desert Online is supposed to be available for purchase and play via Steam. Only the price is still kept secret by Kakao Games. Normally, BDO costs between 9.99 and 49.99 Euros, depending on whether you want additional stuff or just the game. However, Valve takes a 30 percent profit share from all games sold on Steam. So it remains to be seen whether the Steam version will ultimately be more expensive.
Black Desert Online is a Buy2Play game, and if you want to play it for more than 7 days, you must at least buy the cheapest version. In Black Desert Online, you start your adventure as a penniless vagabond who, with a lot of effort and the help of a donkey, soon becomes a strong hero and trading magnate. In the open sandbox world of Black Desert Online, you can freely develop, trade, craft, grow vegetables, fish, sail the seas, participate in PvP sieges, and complete quests.
