Black Desert Online is already an absolute graphical marvel. However, it is set to improve even further, as the graphic developers from Silicon Studios plan to give the game a complete overhaul this year with their new YEBIS technology.
When Black Desert was first announced, people were amazed by the stunning graphics and the cool characters that could be created with the character editor used to make. But time does not stand still, and eventually, even the magnificent graphics of Black Desert Online will become outdated and shabby. Therefore, the developers at Pearl Abyss are already planning a complete overhaul of the graphics.
Black Desert Online Graphics Update – Everything better thanks to Silicon
The Silicon Studios are responsible for the graphics update. Their powerful YEBIS technology is supposed to provide Black Desert Online with livelier colors and particularly stunning light and blending effects. We have embedded a video showcasing the possibilities of YEBIS in Black Desert Online for you. According to Pearl Abyss developer Choi Chang-ae, this is only “a small part of what we are currently working on”.
The collaboration with Silicon Studios was announced back in November 2016, and as seen in the video, a lot has already been set in motion.
According to Takehiko Terada, the head of Silicon Studios, the already impressive graphics of Black Desert Online are the ideal candidate to demonstrate the high-quality graphics of YEBIS. Therefore, they are very satisfied with the collaboration and look forward to further cooperation. The improved graphics in Black Desert Online are supposed to be implemented in the game even in 2017.
