In Black Desert Online, Valentine’s Day is a time of competition among NPCs. With the help of homemade chocolate hearts, you can make the NPC of your heart the coolest character in the game.
In Black Desert Online, it’s usually all about donkeys, ships, crafting, trading, and PvP, but for Valentine’s Day, it’s the NPCs that take center stage instead of the players. In each of the five major cities of the land, NPCs will compete from February 9 to February 23, hoping to be voted the most popular NPC in the country.

The NPC of Hearts
The task of choosing the best NPC falls to you players. Therefore, from February 9, you can buy a cocoa seed bundle. The bundle is limited to one per player. From the seeds, a cocoa tree grows, and from its fruits, you can create a chocolate heart. You then give this as a kind of ballot to the NPC you like the most.
After a week, you will receive a message with interim results for the NPC election. From then on, it’s the final phase, and you can craft another chocolate heart each day in the usual way and distribute it to NPCs. At the end of the event, you will receive prizes if your chosen NPC has won. The most popular NPC, as well as the second and third place characters, will be awarded.
Funny: Even the most hated NPC gives his few supporters a consolation prize!
Among the rewards is a special Valentine’s furniture set, a cat, or unique titles. Anyone who votes for an NPC at least three times will receive additional prizes such as black stones or crystal shards.
Also cool: On Valentine’s Day itself, a big fireworks show will start in Calpheon City at 9 PM CET.
