The Dark Knight has finally arrived in Black Desert Online and our colleague Refaser has already reached level 50. His video of the endgame gameplay of the Dark Elf explains how the new character plays at level 50.
The long-awaited Dark Elf, temporarily known as Dark Knight and now localized as Dark Knight, has been playable since March 1 and a week later, some players have already leveled the dark elf significantly. YouTuber Refaser has also eagerly wielded his sword and brought his blood-red killer elf to level 50 without any grind.
Leveling without grind!
When Refaser began his career as an elf warrior, he rightly feared the notorious grind. However, this was not the case. The developers at Kakao Games had adjusted the Black Spirit quests, the story tasks of BDO, so that they ideally guide you through the game.
Therefore, the Spirit quests and a few side quests along the way are completely sufficient to effortlessly level the elf to 50. Towards the end, there was a real challenge as the final Spirit quests up to level 50 were a bit tougher than usual.
The Dark Knight – Melee Hacker with Stamina Issues
The gameplay of the Dark Knight is still very much to Refaser’s liking. She is an extremely agile character who deals devastating area damage in melee and inflicts damage from a distance with magic. Refaser liked the latter less, so he focused entirely on melee combat. In his embedded video, he describes the dark elf as a mix between a ninja and a dark sorceress.
One problem with the elf, however, is her mobility. While she swiftly darts between enemies, she uses up her magic resource for that. So if you want to engage enemies that are too far away, you might exhaust all your strength and need to recharge. You can forget your powerful attacks in the meantime.
Run, don’t cast
Therefore, it makes more sense to sheathe the weapon and get to the enemy “normally” by sprinting with stamina. However, when enemies are close together, the elf is a deadly whirling dervish who jumps between foes and hacks them all to pieces. Also cool: the Dark Knight can block attacks and execute counters.
By the way, Refaser plans to continue playing the Dark Knight in the future and to obtain the awakening weapon as soon as it is available.
