In Black Desert, measures against cheaters are now being intensified and no mercy is shown.
Cheaters permanently lose their account in Black Desert
Hardly anything in online games is more annoying than players who use cheats and bots to gain an unfair advantage. Whether getting taken out by flying enemies with infinite hit points in a PvP match or being driven out of a favorite area by automated bots, these “players” rob the fun of the game.
The community team of Black Desert has now announced in a forum post that it will intensify its fight against all types of cheaters. Users of such tools will be banned in waves.
The penalties for such game accounts are quite severe. Anyone caught cheating loses access to their account permanently – there is no second chance, the account will be closed.
The efforts against cheaters and botters, according to the forum post, will “continue as long as we find cheaters” – which basically means from today until the end of the game.
Prior to this, the community team had called for a “hunt for cheaters” and asked players to report information about fraudsters to support, which was later rewarded with some in-game rewards.
Mein-MMO says: Even though the announcement may not be much more than a tactical PR move, it is always nice to read something like this. Some other development studios could learn from this “zero tolerance” mentality against cheaters. Because those who spoil the fun of others (contrary to the intended game mechanics) probably deserve no better.
