The “New World” patch for Black Desert is live and the servers are running. There are also some special offers.
As expected, not everything went smoothly with the transition to the mega servers of Black Desert. Numerous players complained about “File Corruption,” which caused the entire game to need to be reinstalled. Some players experienced issues where the download could not proceed, causing a delay in the patch.
Kakao Games extended maintenance by another 3 hours to get a grip on all the errors and then could announce (a little stressed): “We’re live with our ‘New World’!”
Players should take a look in the shop, to celebrate the launch of the mega servers, the prices of some account services have been reduced. Additional character slots and name changes are currently on offer.
For new players and returnees, there’s also a special event: The team is opening the “Olvia” server, exclusively for newcomers and all players who have not been present in the game for more than 30 days. On the Olvia servers, there are particularly high experience points, but no world bosses, horse racing, sieges, or the “Red Battlefield” – it is simply a place where leveling can be done comfortably.
