The MMORPG Black Desert boasts its graphics and also gladly presents them in TV spots.
Many MMORPGs show little of the game in their commercials, Black Desert takes a different approach.

Visually, MMORPGs are usually not outstanding: They are designed to run on as many computers as possible for years. In the past, graphics rarely wowed anyone. Moreover, they are complex and the magic is often hard to capture: Not great material to create a nice 30-second commercial out of.
TV commercials for World of Warcraft, for example, relied more on personalities and stars, featuring William Shatner, Mister T, or Chuck Norris prominently while the game remained in the background. The Elder Scrolls Online also relies more on “real actors” than on game footage.
With Black Desert, one does not have such worries. The graphics look modern, almost photorealistic, making the landscape the star of the new TV commercial.
Of course, this advertisement also does not do justice to the game: the complex crafting and quest systems find no echo, but … that would be incredibly hard to portray in 30 seconds.
