Black Desert currently has 16 different classes. While players are still playing the latest class Lahn, diligent data miners have already extracted a new class that could be released on the Korean server.
Armed with Crossbow and Longbow
Data miners find clues: Hints about a class have been uploaded on Reddit, which originate from data mining.
A new male ranged class: The extracted data suggests a class that maintains a certain distance from the opponent. The starting weapon is a crossbow and a magical glove. However, it is still unclear what function the magical glove will serve.
The awakened form of the new class is armed with a longbow that shoots large arrows.
It seems to be a class that relies 100% on ranged combat. Clever players can dance around the opponents and try to evade their attacks.
A male elf: In the world of Black Desert, male elves are rare compared to females. However, looking at the images from the data mining, it seems that the new class belongs to the elven race. It definitely has the distinctive elven ears.
Known from the first trailers
Could it be a male version of the Ranger? In the first trailers of Black Desert, Pearl Abyss showed both male and female Rangers. However, during the development of the game, Pearl Abyss focused on one gender. The male Ranger was removed. However, there are still pictures of it.
Fan favorite: Fans have been waiting for a male version of the Ranger for some time. In a survey from 2016, 82% of participating players expressed their support for a male Ranger.
Pearl Abyss could thus listen to the fans and bring a male version of the class with new abilities. They have already taken the same approach with the Striker, who received a female version with the Mystic.
Release: If the new class really comes, it will probably appear first in Korea. Later, it will find its way to Europe.
Gender-bound classes
Limited possibilities: But why don’t players just create a male Ranger? In Black Desert, classes are bound to specific races and to a specific gender. You play less a class than a hero or villain who has their personal reasons for wandering through the world of Black Desert.
