Black Desert is a quite complex game, where almost every aspect of the MMORPG might need its own guide. In this video, he mainly addresses how trading works in the game – both in the auction house and with NPCs.
The auction house of Black Desert is rather classic and corresponds to what most players already know from other MMORPGs. Crafting materials, equipment, and other items can be sold to other players through the trade exchange. While many games require addons for this, Black Desert already provides important information about the items by default. What is the current highest bid and the lowest? With several data points, you can estimate how much profit can be made from the surplus items.
Trading through the auction house in Black Desert is not as free as players are used to. A precautionary measure: To keep gold sellers away from Black Desert, items can only be sold within relatively narrow price ranges.
Completely independent of the auction house, there is also the option to trade goods with certain NPCs in the world. The basic principle is quite simple. You travel to Village A, buy any goods at a low price, then walk (or better ride) to Village B and sell all that stuff for a nice profit. If you also want to increase your strength attribute, you should take some foot marches and bring the goods from place to place on foot – because this way you will get stronger by itself and can then carry more.
It’s faster with a horse, while more experienced traders quickly switch first to the donkey and later to wagons.
