The Hunt for the Golden Ball
What is the golden ball? The golden ball is a usable item. As the name suggests, the item looks like a golden soccer ball. When you use the ball, it opens up and you can receive various items from it.

How do I get the golden ball? You will receive a golden ball every day if you log in for at least 5 hours in the game. Your daily playtime resets every day at 2:00 AM.
For every hour you spend daily in Black Desert Online, you will be rewarded with items.
The following items are available:
- 1 hour: 1 x hard Black Crystal Shard
- 2 hours: 1 x [Event] Box with High-Quality Potions
- 3 hours: 3 x Cron Stone
- 4 hours: 3 x Memory Fragment
- 5 hours: 1 x [Event] Golden Ball
However, you do not necessarily have to play Black Desert for 5 hours daily just to get the golden ball. There is another way.
Black Desert Gets Colorful
During the event, you can engage in various activities and receive different colored balls for it.
The following ball colors are available:
- Red balls are received when you defeat monsters. You can either open them for specific rewards or exchange 10 for a golden ball.
- Green balls can be found while gathering. You can either open these balls for a reward or exchange 5 of them for a golden ball.
- Blue balls are collected while fishing. The balls contain a reward. However, you can also exchange 5 of them for a golden ball.
How long does the event last? Between June 20th and July 4th, you can embark on the hunt for the golden ball.
Exchange or Redeem?
What is worthwhile? In the Black Desert Online community, fans are discussing whether to exchange the red balls for a golden ball or to redeem them directly. Since players do not know anything about the drop rates, they generally prefer to open the red balls.
If you want to exchange the red, blue, and green balls for a golden ball, it is best to go to the NPC Morco in Velia, Heidel, Calpheon, Altinova, Valencia, or Grána.
