Black Desert Online (PC) will soon receive a new zone called “Drieghan” in Korea. You can expect majestic mountains, new grind spots around level 60, and massive dragons.
Black Desert Online will soon receive a new region after the picturesque and somewhat eerie elf forests of Kamasylvia. The zone is called Drieghan and is the opposite of Kamasylvia.
Instead of deep forests, you can expect rugged and somewhat romantic mountain regions. And huge dragons!
On to the great grind in the mountains!
The region of Drieghan includes three new grind spots and the capital Duvencrune. The metropolis is high in the mountains. There, you have a wonderful view of the rest of the land. The three new grind spots are:
- Sherekhan’s Grave: This is a zone where you should have level 60 and AP of 230. A new accessory called “Belt of Orkinrad” drops here.
- Red Wolf Village: Here, you should be at least level 59 and have an AP of 190. There is “Gaktum’s Obedience Ring” as special loot.
- Tshira Ruins: Depending on which creatures you want to kill here, the recommended minimum level is 57 or 60. For AP, you should bring 150 or 220, respectively.
The Realm of the Red Dragon
The highlight of the new region is “Gamos, the Red Dragon”. After all, Drieghan is also called “Land of the Dragon“, so it would be strange if no scaly giant creature showed up.
The dragon Gamos is said to be a rather small but cunning dragon. He was allegedly slain before but managed to escape severely injured. Now, Gamos is back and awaits you as a high-end boss monster. Upon his death, he drops special loot. While there is no weapon, there is the dragon’s heart. With it, you can transform and enhance off-hand weapons.
New Awakening Weapon and Collection Mini-Game
In the Drieghan region, you will also find the components for a new Awakening weapon called “Dragon Slayer”. To get this, you must grind hard and can then have the weapon crafted in the capital. Additionally, a new mini-game is introduced. To harvest an extremely rare plant from the mountains, you must carefully uncover the roots without damaging them.
The Drieghan region was released on March 7, 2018, in Korea. The western release will hopefully not take too long.
