Sometimes players just need to let out all their frustration that has built up over the years. A player has now called on the fans of Black Desert to do just that.
This is what happened: On Reddit, the user BullDozier1337 published a thread where users can freely complain about Black Desert. He lays down a few simple rules:
- No personal attacks are allowed.
- Users must write in all capital letters. THIS LOOKS LIKE THIS.
Why are people yelling? The idea is very well received among players. After all, there has been enough to get upset about in recent months:
- A patch messed up all PvP. The situation has improved since then.
- Black Desert was plagued by hackers and some players accused Kakao Games of not doing enough about it. The publisher banned a large number of hackers in response to the criticism.
- A controversial streamer became an official Kakao Games partner. Some players were not too happy about that.
Players like Black Desert, but it has its problems
The biggest criticisms of Black Desert: Players complain about completely different issues. Some players praise Black Desert to the skies, while others loudly express their frustration over the current problems with the game:
- Many players are upset about the low drop rate of certain items. Some items are incredibly hard to find.
- Some players are unhappy about the nerfing of the Dark Knight class. It is no longer playable in PvP.
- Players are angry about the enhancement system of Black Desert. They keep trying to upgrade their gear, but it always fails. This frustration leads some players to resort to crazy rituals.
- Players want Kakao Games to address the hacker problem. The game is infested with bots.
However, there are also players who don’t take themselves too seriously:
- One player writes that he has been playing Black Desert for 2 months, but has absolutely no idea what he is doing and the game lets him know that all the time. Nonetheless, he cannot stop because the game is so damn much fun.
- Another player simply screams to the world how much he loves the game. Finally, a game where he can invest time.
- One player wants to finally play Black Desert on Xbox One and can’t wait any longer.
Idea comes from the card game Hearthstone
Successful concept. The idea of letting out one’s anger on Reddit probably comes from the subreddit for the online card game Hearthstone. There, a player already created threads 4 years ago where players could vent about the card game.
Over the years, other subreddits have picked up on the idea. In addition to the online card game Gwent, players of Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes and One Piece Treasure Cruise also use the idea to blow off steam.
