The Korean version of Black Desert Online has been expanded with a new pet that is impressive. You can make a cute baby dragon in Pixar style your companion.
Large Red Dragon
Dragons are powerful, fearsome creatures, but they can also be cute and cuddly. The world boss Garmoth is more powerful and fearsome. He is a large, red dragon that sets his surroundings ablaze. Players who challenge him must prepare for a strong opponent.

But apparently, this highly uncomfortable guy also has offspring. Namely, small, cute baby dragons.
Small but Mighty
The little baby dragon is quite clever and comes in different variations. Each variation has its own useful ability.
These are its abilities:
- Increases your resistance to desert disease.
- Enemy players are automatically detected.
- Your required time for automatic fishing is reduced.
- The baby dragon provokes nearby enemies and causes them to attack.
- Elite enemies nearby are detected.

As a personal pet skill, the baby dragon increases your maximum health points at the highest level by up to 100. You increase the level by breeding two baby dragons together.
When the dragon’s level increases, it gains new abilities. However, leveling does not change its appearance. You also cannot change it with an appearance coupon.

The baby dragon counts as a regular pet, so it needs to be fed. And you can have four other pets along with the dragon at the same time.
How do I obtain the baby dragon? In the Korean version, players must defeat the world boss Garmoth until he drops one of his horns.
Fortunately, the world boss mechanics were also tweaked with the same update. The bosses now appear according to a fixed schedule and drop rare loot more often.

If you have the horn, you can exchange it at the NPC Garison in Duvencrune for the Dragon Egg Fossil. From this egg, your little dragon will hatch. With the “Young Red Dragon Pet” item, you can then add the young creature to your collection.
Currently only in Korea
The baby dragon is currently only available for players of the Korean version of Black Desert Online. It is already one of the most popular pets in the game.
Eventually, it will probably find its way to us. However, it is quite possible that we will have to wait some time for the new pet. Between the release of the class Lahn in South Korea and here, there are about 6 months.
Are there alternatives? Yes, until then you can go hunting for the equally cute fairy Laila. She has been available in our version of Black Desert Online since April.
What do you think of the new pet?
