On June 5, a new patch was released in the MMORPG Black Desert, which brought a new area and further innovations to the game. We reveal what is included in the patch and which events are currently taking place. It is clear: a lot is happening in the MMORPG Black Desert in 2019.
What are the highlights of the patch? The major innovation of the patch is the area Starfall. This area opens up a zone in western Calpheon that you could not enter before.
The area offers the opportunity to earn the new Blackstar weapons through quests and other tasks. These weapons are at least stronger in PvE than all previously existing ones.
What else did the patch bring? In addition to the innovations, there are two events:
- The “Trails of the Black Spirit” runs from June 5 to June 26. You need to find 100 Black Spirit traces that are scattered all over the world. The event can already be played from level 17.
- The already known “Adventure of the Black Spirit 1” is also returning. However, this ends on June 19. Until this date, the “Call of the Sea” event is still ongoing.
A Forgotten Land Destroyed by a Meteor
What do we know about the new area Starfall? Eight years ago, a meteor struck in Northwest Calpheon. This meteor is called Blackstar. Shortly after its impact, an ash plague broke out that made all infected individuals violent. Due to this plague, the area was placed under quarantine.
The focus of the main quest is the story of Starfall and what existed there before. The area is intended for experienced players.
According to the patch notes, an AP of 260 is recommended.
Which areas have been released? Two weeks ago, there was a larger patch that brought the underwater ruins into the game. These are the three areas:
- Protty Cave
- Upper Sycraia Zone
- Sycraia Abyss
What is still planned for Black Desert in the near future? In the roadmap for the first half of 2019, many innovations have been announced, most of which are now already in the game.
So far, the new mount Doom and the revision of the Mediah story have been added to the game. Currently, only new group-based content is missing from the list. What that entails is still unknown.
