Black Desert Online has introduced the “Odyllita” area with the new expansion. This comes with a lot of new content – and four quite challenging monster areas.
What is Odyllita? Odyllita is the new region that you can explore in Black Desert Online starting now. It is described as the “Land of Darkness and Ancient Secrets” – sounds pretty eerie.
But even though there are indeed many dark corners in Odyllita, the area has much more to offer. You can see what Odyllita looks like here in the trailer:
Odyllita presents a challenge
Who can go to Odyllita? Anyone wishing to travel to the new area must meet certain requirements. First, players must have reached level 60 and completed the quest “[St. 58 Kamasilvia] Light of Kamasilve”. You can find out how to level up quickly in our guide.
In Odyllita, you can then start directly with the main quest [St. 60 Odyllita I] or consult Postmaster Aliluna in Thornwood Castle or Postmaster Honto on the road of Shivtal to receive side quests. Additionally, several events await you at launch.
What is in Odyllita? There is much to discover in Odyllita. For example, you can visit the capital Odraxxia. There you will meet the queen of Odyllita, Viorencia Odore. In the surrounding area of the city, you will find new plants such as the pink Delotia, fish for cooking, and Moonlight Stones. The latter can be processed into nickel ore with a pickaxe.
In addition, there are new elixirs in Odyllita that you can prepare.
A significant part of the area consists of the new monster zones. And they are quite challenging. Already beforehand, the new difficulty was criticized. In total, there are four different new zones:
- The Thornwood (250 AP). Here you will encounter the Fallen Ahib.
- The Tankuta monster zone (270 AP). It is recommended for groups of two players. Here, you will fight against the strong, enduring Turo.
- The Olluntal (300 AP). This is designed for 3 players and throws powerful golems as enemies at you.
- Finally, you will find the “Crypt of Resting Thoughts” in Odyllita (310 AP). This is said to be one of the most challenging zones overall.
Each of the areas also offers its own rewards that might be worth the fight. In Odyllita, you also have the opportunity to embed crystals into your awakening weapon to become even stronger. These are the Ahkrad crystal and the Oluskak crystal – the materials can be found in the monster zones.
