The MMORPG Black Desert has released the new burning Doom mount. Additionally, an overview of what new features are expected to come to the game in the coming weeks has been provided in the forum.
What is special about the Doom mount? Besides the cool flame effects, the T9 Hell mount Doom also has some useful features to offer.
It can carry two players as the only T9 horse. In addition, it has a double jump and can inflict significant damage on enemies.
Opinions currently differ regarding the speed. While Doom is indeed a fast mount on a straight path, as this video shows, it struggles with navigating obstacles compared to others.
How can you obtain the new Doom mount? Like all T9 mounts, you need a T8 mount at level 30, various materials, and a lot of luck.
You must train the T8 mount to 200% and then upgrade it. With some luck, you will receive a higher-tier mount. However, the upgrade can also fail, and the training starts all over again.
On Reddit, there are currently various numbers and videos regarding attempts to obtain Doom. Some succeeded in awakening it in just a few tries, while others needed 30, 48, or even more attempts.
New Plans for Upcoming Updates
The developers of Black Desert released a roadmap for the game a few days ago. This has now been further specified in the forum.
What’s coming in May: Three zones from the deep sea are planned for mid-May. They are:
- The Protty Cave on the island of Weita
- The upper zone of the underwater ruins Sycraia
- The deep region of the underwater ruins Sycraia
For the deep region, the developers suggest an attack power of 280. It is said to be the most challenging combat zone in Black Desert.
Also in May, the main quests in Mediah are set to be reworked. Even if you have already completed the quests, you should be able to revisit them and discover new stories.
On May 30th, there will be 53x the +530% experience points scroll as a gift. The developers will announce how this will work in the near future.
What’s coming in June: At the beginning of June, the new area Star’s End in Northwest Calpheon is set to appear. There you will receive the new Blackstar weapons, which are among the strongest weapons in the game. This area is said to follow the last major patch for Drieghan.
A major overhaul of the gathering professions and new equipment that helps enhance these talents have also been announced for June.
Where did the group content go? While the roadmap still discussed a completely new group experience, nothing of that is mentioned in the current forum post.
So far, there has been no response to players’ inquiries. It seems these contents will not appear in the second quarter of 2019.
