Big changes are coming to Black Desert. The next version merges all servers into mega servers.
In recent months, things have been a bit quieter around Black Desert, aside from the release of some awakening weapons not much has been heard compared to the previous months. The reason for this has now become evident, as Black Desert is working to merge all European and American servers into a single new “mega server”.
Basically, the entire account will be transferred to a single server. Whenever there is an overlap (for example, with different success progress in multiple families), the character with the “best result” will be declared the new main character.
The merger will take about a week and starts on November 30. All players are urged to ensure that all workers complete their tasks by November 30.
Particularly heavy players with many characters need to plan ahead, because during the merger all characters will move to the new mega server, but only the 12 highest-level characters can still be played. If one of these 12 characters is deleted, the next one will take its place. After a grace period of 90 days, all characters exceeding the limit of 12 will be deleted.
Also worth noting is the friends list. Only the most recent 50 entries will be retained, the rest will be deleted. Those with many friends in Black Desert should consider saving the list externally.
The merger promises to bring more life back to the economy of the game and sieges should benefit from multiple players as well.
