The Awakening weapons in Black Desert are eagerly awaited. Daum has now issued a new statement about it.
“Awakening weapons will all come at once”
The Korean version of Black Desert is already several patches ahead of the European version. Among the most eagerly anticipated features are the so-called Awakening weapons. All classes can acquire a new weapon at high levels, which grants them new abilities and makes them noticeably more powerful.
In Korea, these weapons were introduced gradually, which led to some balance issues: while some classes already have a powerful Awakening weapon, others still had to make do with their “normal” equipment.
For Europe, a plan had already been laid out: all Awakening weapons that were released by a certain point in time should be introduced into the game simultaneously. Fans were expecting this to happen in the coming weeks, but the reports from CM_Tytyes in the official forum tell a different story.
Some players complained that farming monsters takes exceptionally long with certain classes, and therefore they are relying on a timely release of the Awakening weapons. In response, the following answer was given:
“The Awakening weapons will not come in the near future. However, that does not mean that you cannot farm effectively in Valencia.”
Obviously, Daum intends to deploy another patch that scales down the hit points of the monsters a bit so that the gameplay remains enjoyable for all classes.
The simultaneous release of the Awakening weapons is still planned – but it may take a while longer.
