This is what happens when there is no level cap. In Black Desert, the first player to reach level 62 in our version.
Black Desert does not have a level cap in that sense. Up to level 50, it goes relatively quickly, the first players were there just a few hours after release. After that, it gets tough and tougher.
Now the first player has reached level 62. At least the first one in our version for Europe and North America. The character’s name is “Bigandshiny.”
Here you can experience the moment in the video:
In the corresponding “Isn’t it crazy, he made it” thread on reddit, players discuss how he did it.
The answer is unremarkable: He grinded the “Pirates” spot endlessly. This is also the spot that is described in popular leveling guides as “From level 55, you live there”.
Grinding, Grinding, Grinding – and then a little more grinding
The player himself says it took about 2000 hours. Leveling from 61 to 62 alone took five months. He has “hardcapped” 2676 skill points. The highest player in the Korean original version is also level 62.
When asked, why he did it, he answered that he enjoys setting difficult tasks for himself and accomplishing them. So the classic “I climb mountains because they are there.”
He has of course set a next goal: level 63. And he has already reached 0.74% of the required EXP for the new level. The rest will be a walk in the park.
Bigandshiny is a Wizard by the way.
A change of place and spot will probably not happen. The experts in the thread say: Even with the new region Kamasylvia, which is supposed to come soon, the “Pirates” remain the best farming spot. We wish: Good luck!
