In Black Desert Online (PC), you can participate in small PvP tournaments with 10 players in Korea. It involves several 1vs1 duels and ends with a large 5vs5 battle!
In Black Desert Online, PvP usually takes place in the open world and during large guild battles. However, in Korea, there is already a new PvP mode where you can hold small tournaments with many 1vs1 duels.
Single fights and a great battle at the end
The new PvP mode is conveniently started from a menu. You don’t have to visit a specific battle site. As soon as you sign up, a timer starts looking for suitable players and opponents based on your AP and DP values.
Once 10 players are found, they will be divided into two teams of 5. The players with the best AD and DP values are the team leaders. From then on, the following rules apply:
- The team leaders each select a player from their team. The two will then fight against each other. If one loses, their leader selects another player to face the winner.
- This continues until one side has no players left. Then, the side with at least one remaining fighter wins the round.
- If a team wins the first and second rounds, they are the overall winner.
- If each team wins one round, the overall victory is decided in a large battle in the third round.
- In this final, all 5 players from each team will fight against each other in a great battle.
- The one who remains at the end is the overall winner.
As a reward for all the fun, there are “Battle Points”. However, those who lose lose points. The Battle Points only indicate how good someone is so far. They have no other value in the game.
Who would have thought? Black Desert Online is significantly more successful in the West than in its homeland South Korea.
