Casey Hudson from BioWare recently posted a new blog post. In it, he discusses what the studios have been working on over the summer. He also announces that the developers still have plans for Anthem. The team plans further improvements, which will take time.
What is this blog about? In his new blog post, Casey Hudson, the General Manager of BioWare, explains that it has been a busy summer for the studio. Currently, the studios in Edmonton and Austin are working on several projects:
- On the Cataclysm in Anthem, which has already begun
- Star Wars: The Old Republic will receive the new expansion Onslaught this fall
- Other secret projects, to which Hudson only remarks, “the Dread Wolf rises”. He is referring to Dragon Age 4.
Additionally, Hudson announced that BioWare has moved into a new studio in Edmonton. With the help of Electronic Arts, they have acquired new and very modern facilities. This is a significant investment for EA.
What does he say about Anthem? Casey Hudson explains that the two studios in Edmonton and Austin are working on Anthem. While it is great to see the players’ reactions to the Cataclysm, he knows that there is still much to be done to realize the full potential of the game.
The developers have plans for fundamental improvements, which will take time. While the team works on the long-term vision of the game, they will continue to deliver updates for features and content.
What do the players say? The players on the Anthem subreddit are positive that BioWare continues to support Anthem. However, many would like a concrete vision for the future of the game.
Especially since the Cataclysm event, which is supposed to last eight weeks, will end again this September.
