For SWTOR, there is a new update that should particularly please fans of the Ahsoka series. But then BioWare is slowly coming to an end.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is one of the older MMORPGs that has been continually updated over many years. However, for the well-known RPG developer, it is slowly coming to an end. An update, in line with the popular “Ahsoka” series on Disney+, could be BioWare’s last patch.
What kind of patch is this? The patch 7.3.1 is just a small patch that mainly launches the season “Confidence in Power” and allows rewards from it to be earned.
Additionally, there are some improvements to the interface, primarily affecting the map and fast travel options. Travel abilities will now always be displayed at the bottom of the map, and fast travel points will be shown next to current mission objectives on the map instead of opening a whole new map.
For fans of the Star Wars series “Ahsoka”, the patch also has a special highlight, as there are some new items in the cartel market. These are new lightsabers and an armor set clearly inspired by the Ahsoka series. They can now be found in the new tab “Inspired by” to make such items easier to locate.
Aside from that, there are a few minor balance changes to the classes and their cooldowns that you can read about in detail on the official SWTOR website.
What else is going on with SWTOR? BioWare is ending its work on SWTOR. Thus, for this developer, it is finally over after nearly 12 years since release. With plenty of expansions and new endgame features, as well as fresh stories, SWTOR has been continuously improved, expanded, and reworked multiple times over the years by BioWare.
What’s next for SWTOR? Even though BioWare is stopping work on SWTOR, it seems that the MMORPG has not yet reached its end. A few weeks ago, it was emphasized that the developer’s transition is a “new beginning and not an end” (via IGN). Broadsword will therefore continue to develop new content for SWTOR, even though BioWare is gradually stepping back to work on the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect instead.
Are you still playing SWTOR? Or do you feel like checking out the MMORPG again?
