Who is this about? Edwin “Castro_1021” Castro is arguably the biggest FIFA streamer and has a total of 3.5 million followers on Twitch. On his channel, he regularly opens and showcases FIFA packs for hours, impressively showing how low the chances for top cards in Ultimate Team are.
And since Castro_1021 has been active for about 9 years, he has opened a lot of expensive packs that sum up to an unbelievable amount.
Castro spent a fortune on packs in FIFA
This is how much Castro1021 spent on FIFA: In the Eavesdrop Podcast by YouTuber HECZ (via YouTube), the famous FIFA streamer Castro1021 revealed how much money he has invested in FIFA packs over the last 9 years. When asked how much he has spent on FIFA, he first responds with:
- “Surely a few hundred thousand.”
When his conversation partner asks if it’s already 500,000 dollars, Castro responds:
- “Probably.”
An astounding amount for virtual cards, which will already be irrelevant in the next FIFA installment because you always start from scratch in Ultimate Team and cannot transfer any cards or coins to the next installment. Castro also says this, who has now developed a passion for physical football trading cards:
- “I’m so excited about physical trading cards because I can give them to my kids later. With FIFA packs, it’s different. The game resets every year, and you have to start completely from scratch. It’s not something I can hold on to forever.”
