The Drieghan expansion is finally available for the western version of the MMORPG Black Desert Online. This brings us 300 new quests, a large play area, a new boss enemy, and more.
Eight months after the release in Korea, the western version of the MMORPG Black Desert Online finally receives the Drieghan expansion. Players are looking forward to it, but they are also annoyed that it has taken so long.
Much New Content
What does Drieghan bring? With Drieghan, fans of Black Desert Online can expect a major expansion that brings many new contents:
- 300 new quests
- A new story around the cursed Sherekhan tribe
- The new mountain region Drieghan
- More monster zones like “Sherekhan’s Grave”, “Blood Wolf Town”, and “Tshira Ruins”
- The large city Duvencrune
- The world boss Garmoth, the Crimson Dragon
- Dragon Slayer as a new, powerful weapon that you can craft yourself
When will the expansion be released? Drieghan will be released on November 14th. About eight months after the release in Korea last March.
Players are Annoyed by the Long Wait
How do Korean players feel about the addon? In Korea, the expansion is quite well received. Especially the new grind spots are appreciated, as they are profitable. The Tshira Ruins are particularly popular among players. However, the grind spots are often overcrowded due to their popularity.
What do western players say about Drieghan? On one hand, the Black Desert Online community is excited to be able to play the new addon soon. Nevertheless, many also express their annoyance at having to wait so long. They do not understand why the addon is released for Europe and the USA only eight months after the release in Korea.
Especially since the content has apparently been translated for quite some time, according to a livestream. Now, players hope that this waiting period has been worth it. Regular new content would be important for the MMO, as interest is waning.
