Here’s everything that happened at E3 2019: To help you out, here is a brief overview of the contents of the individual conferences:
Microsoft

These were the major announcements from Microsoft: Although Microsoft showed hardly any new information about the new console “Project Scarlett” at E3 this year, there were still many games to see, accompanied by a fireworks of trailers.
The biggest announcements in the single-player and multiplayer areas from Microsoft included:
There was also a lot of information about the Xbox Game Pass, which is now also available as a beta for PC. Microsoft announced a long list of new games that will be accessible with the Gaming Pass, including the new Gears 5.

What was special? There was also a surprising appearance by Keanu Reeves in the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 and on stage, celebrated by the audience. The actor will appear in the new game by CD Project Red as NPC Johnny Silverhand.

Bethesda

These were the major announcements at Bethesda: Although Bethesda didn’t have as many new announcements, some of them were very surprising for the fans.
The gaming highlights at the Bethesda conference include announcements for these games:
- Doom Eternal
- Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr
- Fallout 76
- Ghostwire Tokyo
There was no new information about the next Elder Scrolls game, which may disappoint some fans.

What was special? The community was especially excited about the announcement of human NPCs in Fallout 76. Players will even be able to form relationships with the NPCs.

Electronic Arts

These were the major announcements from EA: EA brought many of its well-known IPs and franchises back to E3 this year. Fans of Sims and EA Sports games could look forward to new announcements.
Among the gaming highlights of the conference were:
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
- FIFA 20
- Apex Legends
- Battlefield V
Anthem received public test servers that players were invited to. However, there was no new content.

What was special? Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order showed for the first time actual gameplay. Alongside classic lightsaber duels, there was also a spotlight for the little droid that will support players with hacking and healing.
But EA’s multiplayer games are also getting new content. In Apex, the next season starts on July 2 and Battlefield V will receive four new maps in the next chapter.

Square Enix

These were the major announcements from Square Enix: Even before E3, Square made it very clear that their conference would primarily focus on the remake of Final Fantasy VII and the new IP Marvel’s Avengers.

- Outriders
The conference was dominated by remakes, remasters, and ports of old Square Enix titles, but there were also some new announcements and surprises.

What was special? Marvel’s Avengers had its first proper in-engine trailer, which provided a closer look at the story of the game.
The first part of the remake of Final Fantasy VII finally received a release date and showed a lot of gameplay footage.
Ubisoft

These were the major announcements from Ubisoft: The E3 conferences from Ubisoft are infamous for their extravagant dance performances from the Just Dance franchise, which were also present this year.
But Ubisoft had a lot to showcase in other areas as well. The gaming highlights included:
The focus of the conference was on Tom Clancy games, especially due to the absence of Beyond Good and Evil 2.

What was special? The announcement of Watch Dogs Legion was well received by the audience. Especially, fans celebrated the assassin granny who can be recruited alongside many other NPCs.
In collaboration with the “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” crew, Ubisoft also announced the TV series “Mythic Quest”, which pokes fun at both gamers and developers.
Nintendo

These were the major announcements from Nintendo: Nintendo has stood out among publishers by primarily showcasing a lot of gameplay in their trailers.
The gaming highlights include:
- Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- No More Heroes 3
- Witcher 3 for Switch
- Luigi’s Mansion 3
- Pokémon Sword and Shield
The Nintendo Switch continues to receive great support from third-party developers, and a whole range of games are now getting a Switch version.

What was special about it? Especially the announcement of the “Breath of the Wild” sequel thrilled the audience. The first new Zelda game on the Switch has won countless awards and has also been very popular among fans.
Additionally, the new Chief Operating Officer of Nintendo, Doug Bowser, was introduced, who coincidentally shares the same name as the famous Mario villain. On this occasion, the real Bowser sneaked around in the background.
PC Gaming Show

These were the major announcements at the PC Gaming Show: Before E3, there were whispers that the PC Gaming Show would primarily revolve around the new exclusive titles from the Epic Game Store, as Epic was one of the sponsors of the show.
Alongside the exclusive titles from Epic, other gaming highlights were also showcased:
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Shenmue 3
- Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
- Chivalry 2
- Zombie Army 4
- Warframe
Shenmue 3 caused a lot of trouble with the announcement that it would be released exclusively on PC via the Epic Store.

What was special about it? Many old-school gamers are especially excited about Baldur’s Gate 3, which aims to become THE video game of Dungeons and Dragons.
Zombie Army 4 surprised with gameplay videos and a trailer featuring Nazi zombies and a laughing undead Hitler.
