In a new sneaky maneuver, cheaters are now getting you in Call of Duty: Warzone without you even seeing them: From under the map. Particularly nasty: They specifically wait for players who are just hunting for an Easter egg.
This is currently happening: In Warzone, some players are currently hiding under the map at the new subway stations to ambush victims. They then shoot them from underground without them being able to defend themselves. This is particularly nasty because they apparently also camp down there.
For example, this happened to reddit user NinjaSawce. He wanted to go to the station and loot a bit when he was suddenly attacked. In a panic, he looks around but finds no opponents – and then dies. In the killcam, he sees that his killer is waiting under the map.
How do the cheaters do this? Apparently, it is a bug that the cheaters exploit. According to some players, it is possible to get under the map at certain spots and shoot at others from there.
But it is also possible that it is a new cheat. Such cheats have been used since the early days of shooters. Players are not visible under the map, but they can shoot through the ground.
The point at the subway seems to be interesting for cheaters because it is important to complete a new Easter egg that has been found since Season 6 in Warzone. This way, they spoil the fun for their victims twice.
Cheaters kill Easter egg hunters
What kind of Easter egg is that? The subway station is the last step to get the blueprint “Firebrand” for the Bruen Mk9, one of the most popular LMGs in Warzone.
For this step, you need to take the subway and drive to the maintenance station. There you will find the blueprint, which you can pick up and add to your collection.

What can I do about it? Currently, there is really nothing you can do except hope that no one is lurking there. Since players are moving “out of bounds” at these locations, a fix shouldn’t take too long.
The next patch is already set to release tomorrow morning, Wednesday, October 14th. The problem might be addressed directly in that patch. In any case, you can look forward to Modern Warfare and Warzone consuming less storage space with the patch.
