“Where Hope is Built” tells the story of an orphan living in Akila City, who lost their family in the Colony War and desperately wants to explore the stars.

Why do fans hope for Mechs? The short film shows in a flashback the memories of the orphan and reveals a glimpse of the war, in which Mechs, or manned combat robots, were employed and brought destruction.
Shortly after, some fans turned to Reddit with screenshots of the Mechs. One user asked in another post: “Mechs confirmed (via Reddit)?”
Reddit user “TwizzledAndSizzled” also speculates: “Mechs could appear at some point in the game! In the Starfield Direct, there’s a picture showing a bunch of broken Mechs. I can imagine that there are still some active Mechs (via Reddit).”
