With ELOA: Elite Lord of Alliance, the Korean development studio Npicsoft is working together with publisher Webzen on a new MMORPG aimed primarily at hack-and-slash fans.
On October 13, the beta of the new online game will start. It is already possible to sign up for this beta test on the official website. The client can also be downloaded already. The game is played from an isometric perspective, which somewhat resembles Diablo. The gameplay is also inspired by it. Together with your friends, you will fight online through hordes of monsters in a fantasy world.
You will assemble your heroes from five classes and four races. Each class can access three combat stances. These are very important for battles, as you need to switch tactically between them to defeat opponents. In addition to quests and raids, PvP battles are also on the agenda. The story revolves around the Titan War Invasion on the fantasy continent of Epheia. You have been reborn as an “Elite Lord” who possesses special powers to help your party achieve victory in this conflict.
Twice the same game?
ELOA has already sparked some discussions, as another game studio released a game that looks strikingly similar to ELOA. ESTA Games launched the game Inspirit Online, which, according to Npicsoft, represents an old version of ELOA. According to Npicsoft, ESTA Games simply used an old beta client of ELOA and is now distributing it as their own game. However, ELOA now offers significantly more content and an improved player experience. Inspirit Online is said to be operated illegally. Whether and how to take action against this is currently still unclear.
If you want to take a look at the hack-and-slash MMORPG ELOA yourself, then sign up for the beta starting on October 13. There will be a wipe at the end of it. So if you like the game, you will have to start over later.
