Sword Of Legends Online, the new MMORPG from Asia, launched today, on May 21, in its first Closed Beta. After initially running smoothly, there are now some issues. The situation at a glance.
What is currently happening in Swords of Legends? After the beta for the MMORPG was scheduled to start at 2:00 PM, there seem to be initial problems with the servers. More and more players report that they keep getting kicked from the game.

Server Status Updates
Update May 23, 5:15 PM: After nearly 24 hours of running almost flawlessly, there is now an emergency maintenance in Europe. The servers were taken offline at 5:00 PM. When they will go back online is currently unknown.
Update 6:05 PM: In a new tweet, the maintenance has officially been declared finished. However, there are still reported issues:
Update 5:00 PM: The start of the developers’ official livestream has been postponed to 6:00 PM our time, to fully focus on the server issues (via Twitter).
Update 4:35 PM: The developers have now announced an emergency maintenance. It is set to begin at 4:45 PM. When the servers will be back online is not known:
Update 4:00 PM: Those logging in now receive a notice stating that the next beta events will take place from May 21 to May 25 and from June 1 to June 8. The servers are currently completely down.
Update 3:27 PM: A statement from the developers has just appeared on Twitter. They are working on the issues with maintenance and authentication messages when players get disconnected from the servers.
They apologize to players for the delay and ask for patience.
Update 3:24 PM: More players are reporting issues. They are apparently being kicked from the servers repeatedly. The developers are still investigating the problem, we do not have further details yet.
What do the developers say? The official Twitter account has already reported and stated that they are looking into the issue. As of now (2:53 PM), there are no further updates from the developers.
What could this mean? The servers may be somewhat overloaded with the initial influx of players. That would at least be nothing unusual. According to the developers, the servers are not offline.
Comments on Twitter indicate that the problems are particularly occurring on the EU servers.
How can you participate in the beta? All players who possess a key can participate. Keys have already been given away by Gameforge and some content creators. Additionally, anyone who pre-ordered Swords of Legends is eligible. SOLO can be played via the Gameforge Client, Steam, and Epic and is set to release in 2021.
What must be done to redeem the beta key? You first need the Gameforge client, which you can download from the official site. There you can log in and click the button “Redeem Voucher”.
