The Free2Play MMORPG Bless Unleashed launched today, January 15, with the second closed beta on Steam. The game is set to officially release on PC in early 2021 and has recently received a major update.
What kind of beta is this? The closed beta started on Friday, January 15, at 1:00 AM and runs until Tuesday, January 19 at 12:59 AM.
During this time, you can try all content of Bless Unleashed without a level cap. This includes:
- The 5 different classes
- The areas of the game world
- PvP with other players
- Dungeons and world bosses that you can fight
For beta testers, there will also be bonus loot at release in the form of a special mount, a title, and they will receive a 7-day premium account that grants additional gold and XP.
How do you participate in the beta? Those who registered before or after the first beta should have received a key via email. Those who want to spontaneously test the MMORPG now won’t have access to a key.
While keys were raffled off during the first test, there are no new giveaways this time. You can currently only register in advance on the official website to possibly participate in a third beta.
Revisions to the controls to make it a PC game
What has changed since the first beta? The first beta took place in November 2020, and there was a lot of negative feedback. The controls were especially criticized because mouse buttons could not be assigned any functions. That has now changed.
Additionally, there were further adjustments, including:
- Longer sprinting
- An auto-run key
- 5 slots for items and potions that can be used quickly
- General adjustments to the UI
Is Bless Unleashed worth it?
What kind of game is this? Bless Unleashed is a Free2Play MMORPG that, by its own admission, places value on action-packed combat and challenging bosses. You fight against various enemies and follow a story that is told through quests.
In the endgame, you can expect many field bosses and dungeons, as well as PvP in the open world.
Bless Unleashed was already released in spring for Xbox One and on October 22 for PS4. So far, only beta tests have been run on PC.
Is it worth it? I myself played Bless Unleashed for about 1 hour during the first beta and then spent several hours in the console version.
The game still has issues that Bless Online also struggled with in 2018, including a clunky combat system, uninspired quests, and a lot of grind. The games have certain similarities as they take place in the same world and come from the same developer.
Bless Unleashed is primarily aimed at fans of action MMORPGs who have no problem with grind and PvP. If you’re urgently looking for a new MMORPG, you should at least give the game a chance. What Bless Unleashed offers and where its strengths and weaknesses lie will be revealed in my hands-on report:
