What happened? The Pokémon GO player Brandon Tan from Singapore has finally reached his stardust goal after months of catching Pokémon. He has now cracked the unbelievable amount of 100 million stardust.
No player has possessed this much stardust at once before. At least not with photographic evidence. We will show you his journey to this point and reveal what he can now do with all that stardust.
100 million stardust after 2 years
Who is Brandon Tan? Brandon Tan is the player who has the most experience points in Pokémon GO. He has already earned over 700 million XP, which is by far the most. Some time ago, he made headlines after being banned for a month:
How long did he save up for the stardust? On Twitter, Brandon Tan mentioned that he has saved for over two years to finally possess this enormous amount of stardust.
For each Pokémon caught, you get 100 stardust without any bonuses. Based on this, Tan must have caught 1 million Pokémon.
How did Brandon Tan achieve this? Tan continuously walks around with a stardust bonus. This multiplies the stardust by 1.5. He also takes advantage of stardust events and plays there all day.
He also uses many other tricks to quickly accumulate stardust.
What can you do with the stardust now? On Twitter, Brandon Tan announced that he wants to invest his stardust now. Nevertheless, he wants to remain frugal and only level up Pokémon that are truly worth it.
If we assume that he levels up Pokémon that are at level 20, then he will need about 250,000 stardust. If he wants to use up all of his stardust, he could max out 400 Pokémon.
Whatever he wants to do with his stardust, he certainly won’t get bored with it.
Note: Before Brandon Tan reached this stardust milestone, the player “yama1989DD” had collected 100 million stardust. He was actually a few days faster than Brandon Tan.
