In Genshin Impact, a lot revolves around farming items. Different items are scattered all over the map, and we will show you the best ways to farm things like chests, monsters, or crystals.
This is what we show here: The map is full of items and they are well distributed. However, you need these resources daily in Genshin Impact, and you don’t want to spend too much time farming.
That’s why we’re showing you routes for different items, where you can get a specific resource particularly quickly. We will also show you routes where you encounter many monsters in a small area that you can defeat for rewards.

Farming Routes for Iron, Crystal, Night Jade, and Cor Lapis
Here is a great spot: If you are mainly looking for these resources, you can head to the far west of the map. There is an area with 3 mountains where you can find 4 of these resources in abundance:
- Crystal Chunk
- Iron
- White Iron
- Cor Lapis
Here we show you an excerpt of the Genshin Impact map, where you can see the occurrence of the 4 resources:
Depending on which material you need, you can visit just one of the mountains. However, if you’re in the area anyway, you might as well visit the other mountains as well. You will need these resources repeatedly, and this corner of the map is particularly worth it.
Here you can find Night Jade and Electro Crystals: These two resources appear much less frequently on the map, but there is a spot where both can be found quite often.
For this, you need to travel quite to the center of the map. Southwest of Mondstadt, there is an area right by the water. We will show it to you on the map:
At first glance, it might look sparse, but especially the Electro Crystals are often tightly packed together. If you walk around this area in a circle, you should find some of these resources.
Best Farming Route for Chests
What you need to know: Treasure chests can be looted multiple times in Genshin Impact. So, even if you have already emptied a chest, you shouldn’t completely neglect it.
Depending on the rarity of the chests, they respawn at different times. So you should also have routes here to be able to loot many chests in a short time.
On this route, you should primarily have easy chests, as they have the highest probability of respawning. It is of no use if you can loot many rarer chests, but they simply don’t respawn.
We especially recommend the northeastern part of the map. There are numerous chests that you can loot within 15-20 minutes. Our colleagues from MGG have drawn two routes for this:
Of course, there are also dozens of other farming routes that are worthwhile for chests. After all, the chests are distributed all over the map and appear almost everywhere in abundance.

Best Farming Routes for Plants
Plants are similar to minerals. They are spread all over the map, but some areas have a particularly high concentration. You need each plant for different characters – we show you the best characters in a tier list.
You should, therefore, go hunting for the different plants especially when you have the respective character for it.

Best Farming Routes for Monsters
What you need to keep in mind here: A good way to find resources of all kinds is by defeating monsters. You can find them all over the map, and if you slice through the hordes of enemies effectively, there will be plenty of items for you.
There are some locations where you encounter a lot of monsters at once. We’ll show you 4 routes where you will encounter at least 10 enemies if you follow them:
This is worth it: You can also connect some of these routes. For example, one farming route for monsters runs exactly along where you can also use a farming route for chests. If you combine them, you save time.
