In the fantasy MMORPG Guild Wars 2 the April Fools’ joke has been brought to the Gem Store. Players can now, as needed, run around as an airplane or better said: as someone who thinks they are an airplane.
We could just resist the “Finally! Flying mounts in Guild Wars 2” headline: For 400 Gems there is a new item in the GW2 store that brings back the “April Fools’ joke”.
When you logged in on April 1st, you saw a sepia-colored world, your own hero stretched out their arms and made airplane noises while running – noises that a child might think airplanes sound like.
So now you can run around at any time if you wish. For 400 Gems there is a box that you can place, whoever interacts with it will become an airplane (or a guy who thinks he is an airplane).
However, other players do not see that someone is devotedly training for a Pixar movie.
