Bungie provided the first look at the large endgame zone, the Dreaming City, before the release of Forsaken for Destiny 2. This is where the new raid is also set to take place. We have the trailer in German and in English here.
What did I just see? This is the Dreaming City, the new endgame zone of Destiny 2 in Forsaken.
- In an area of Destiny, the campaign is supposed to run – where players hunt the Barons and play through the story.
- In the “Dreaming City,” the endgame of Destiny is set to occur, meaning what comes after the campaign.
The trailer portrays the image of the “Holiest” of the Awoken. But apparently, the Awoken themselves are strangers in their city. Because it is said, “No one should return here until it was safe.”
This could mean that Guardians will help restore access to the Dreaming City during the campaign.
What do we learn: It quickly becomes clear that something evil is in the city and something huge is waiting in the raid. This could have been assumed earlier. There must be something that runs in front of the rocket launchers.
What does Bungie say? Bungie calls the “Dreaming City” the largest “endgame experience” yet. Because the city is supposed to not just be a raid, but also offer solo content around it.
Here is the trailer for the Dreaming City in English:
What stands out particularly? Several weapons can be seen in slow motion. One can be sure that these are Exotics or special Legendaries being showcased and celebrated by Bungie.
We will return tomorrow with a detailed trailer analysis that explains what these Exotics are.
Additionally, Bungie seems to be aware of the effects of the 9 new Supers. They are staged and showcased. Especially the hammer-swinging Titan seems to be the new favorite for screenshots and concept art.
