In World of Tanks, the Holiday Ops 2025 will soon begin. However, this year, players will not be gifted by Santa Claus, but rather by his stunt double: action star Jason Statham.
What kind of game is this? World of Tanks is an MMO action game developed by Wargaming. In it, players engage in large tank battles against each other. The game features an arsenal of over 800 armored vehicles from eleven different nations, all meticulously recreated.
The Holiday Ops are an annual in-game event during the Christmas season in World of Tanks. For this, the developers select so-called ambassadors – last year it was former British footballer Vinnie Jones, the year before it was actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Milla Jovovich.
This year, the Holiday Ops will again be presented by an actor. This time, the choice fell on action star Jason Statham. He takes on the role of Santa Claus in the event trailer:
Festive Decorations and New Special Missions
What can players expect? In the new festive garage, there are special tasks and battle missions. If you complete them, you will receive rewards from Jason Statham personally. As far as we know, this applies only in the game – he will not be coming down your chimney to leave gifts under your Christmas tree.
As an action star, Jason Statham was a rather obvious choice as an ambassador. A press release from Wargaming indicates that he even has experience driving tanks himself. The only question left is which tank would be his favorite in the game.

When does the event start? The Holiday Ops 2025 will begin on December 6, 2024, and will run until January 13, 2025. Players have over a month to grab all the rewards and surprises that the event offers.
