TT Games has lowered the system requirements for the latest LEGO game. This is a response from the developer to the difficult situation in the hardware market.
RAM, SSDs, and now also graphics cards are becoming increasingly expensive. Many gamers are postponing PC upgrades to save money, unless absolutely necessary.
These price increases have also reached game developers. They are responding to the high prices by starting to lower their system requirements.
Developer lowers system requirements for LEGO game
Which game is it about? Specifically, it is about LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, an action game set to be released on May 26, 2026. In early January, developer TT Games announced the system requirements, surprising many players: TT Games set a recommendation of 32 GB of RAM.
However, the developers have partially revised these requirements: On February 13, 2026, TT Games announced on Steam that they intend to reduce the system requirements in terms of RAM for their new LEGO game: Instead of 32 GB, only 16 GB is now recommended. The minimum requirements remain at 16 GB of RAM, and no other changes have been made.
And TT Games is not the first developer to reduce system requirements. The action game 007: First Light was also supposed to require 32 GB, but the developers later adjusted the requirements. This was reportedly a miscommunication, as the required hardware was sometimes simply not available.
High prices in hardware challenge not only gamers but also manufacturers. The company Zotac is now explaining in a statement how serious the situation really is.
