A visitor to E3 2019 must be pretty happy. Because he shouted during a presentation, he is getting the Collector’s Edition of Cyberpunk 2077 as a gift.
Last night, Microsoft held its press conference at E3, where Cyberpunk 2077 was also revealed. In addition to a new trailer and the announcement of the release date in April 2020, there was also the appearance of a very special star. Keanu Reeves took the stage and stated, that he will be a part of Cyberpunk 2077. During this, a fan shouted into the presentation and made Reeves laugh – for this, the fan now receives a reward.
What happened? Keanu Reeves talked a bit about Cyberpunk 2077 and how he got involved in the project. He then explained what impression he had gained from the game and said:
Let me tell you: The feeling when you are there, when you walk through the streets of the future – it will be truly breathtaking.
A fan named Peter Sark took advantage of the moment and shouted loudly from the crowd to Reeves: “You are breathtaking!” This immediately caused laughter from Reeves and the audience and a direct response: “YOU are breathtaking!”
Apparently, the incident threw Keanu Reeves off a bit, as he continued the presentation with “Hey, I have to finish this!” and then hesitated a bit before presenting the release date.
Collector’s Edition as a reward for shouting out: For his “effort”, the loud gentleman from the audience is indeed being rewarded. On Twitter, he proudly stated that he was called “breathtaking” by Keanu Reeves. In response from the Twitter channel of Cyberpunk 2077, there was also this reply:
And it also earned you a free Collector’s Edition of Cyberpunk 2077!
This is particularly cool, because the Collector’s Edition is largely sold out.
Community reacts mixed: Most aspiring players and fans are excited about the incident, as it was very entertaining and enriched the presentation. However, there are also a few cynical voices who think that you just have to be rude during a presentation to receive special treatment. This would not set a good example and should not be rewarded.
What do you think? Is it cool that the fan was able to secure such a CE of Cyberpunk 2077? Or should such “brazen behavior” not be rewarded?
