Last Chance: You should have submitted your Crucible Tokens at Destiny 2 before today’s maintenance. Otherwise, you may regret it.
What is happening today in Destiny 2? Today in Destiny 2, Season 12 ends with the Weekly Reset (or maintenance). After the maintenance and the new update 3.1.0, the new Season 13, the Season of the Chosen, will start immediately after.
There will be some familiar things, such as weekly bounties, running differently than before. And for one thing, you should hurry up especially because of the upcoming changes – namely the Crucible Tokens. You have only a few hours left for that.
Turn in your Crucible Tokens – they will be gone soon
Why should you hurry? In short: The Crucible Tokens will disappear with Season 13, meaning today.
If you don’t want them to expire uselessly, you should redeem them now – and you have until 5:45 PM. Then the servers will shut down before update 3.1.0 arrives and the new season starts.
If you don’t redeem them, you’ll just lose them – with no benefit at all. However, if you turn them in now to Lord Shaxx in the Tower, you might pull some interesting gear items from them or at least gather some resources like weapon parts or enhancement cores. Far better than letting the tokens expire.
Also, note: The larger your stock, the longer it will take. It can indeed take a while before you’ve redeemed the Crucible Tokens in batches of 10.
What about the other tokens? Other tokens, like those from the Vanguard, are not affected by this (at least for now). It specifically concerns only the Crucible Tokens and Crucible.
What else should you consider before the end of Season 12? The Crucible Tokens are likely among the most important things to keep in mind at the end of the outgoing season and at the start of the new season. But apparently not everyone has noticed yet why there is now urgent action needed regarding this – I had to realize this myself this morning in conversations with some gaming buddies.
